CSKA Moscow edge Olympiacos as Top 16 ends
Nando de Colo was in fine form for CSKA Moscow as the Russian side ended Euroleague Top 16 in style.
The Euroleague Top 16 finished with a host of dead rubbers on Friday with the standings already sorted after Thursday's games, but that did not stop the teams from putting on a show.
CSKA Moscow cemented their spot at the top of Group F with a thrilling 99-96 victory away to Olympiacos.
Nando de Colo starred for the winners with a 20-point haul but was well-supported by Milos Teodosic and Aaron Jackson with 13 points each.
Matt Lojeski and Vassilis Spanoulis were impressive for the home side with 18 and 17 points respectively but it was not enough for the Greek outfit on the night, who finish the Top 16 in seventh place in the group.
In Group E, the hosting teams all ensured their fans went home happy.
Darussafaka Dogus kicked it off with an 87-86 win over Lokomotiv Kuban.
Darussafaka, who had no chance of making the play-offs, were nine points down at half-time having lost the first two periods but rallied hard in the second half to win by the narrowest of margins.
Luke Harangody was the standout performer with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Unicaja defeated Fenerbahce 71-67 with Jack Cooley scoring 17 points and nine rebounds for the victors, who improved to 4-10.
Elsewhere, Jacob Pullen was too good for Crvena Zvezda as the Cedevita star scored 22 points to help his team to an 83-62 win to end the Top 16 in style.
