Luciano Spalletti "expects a reaction" to Juventus' disappointing draw with Monaco in the Champions League when they travel to Parma in Serie A on Sunday.

Juventus secured their place in the Champions League knockout play-offs by finishing 13th in the table after a 0-0 stalemate with Monaco on Wednesday.

Spalletti's side failed to get a single shot on target and only had five attempts overall as they accumulated just 0.2 expected goals (xG).

And Spalletti insists Juventus need to be sharper for the trip to Stadio Ennio Tardini.

"We didn't do very well in the last game. I expect a reaction after that game because we couldn't find our normal rhythm," Spalletti said of the draw with Monaco.

"I would change the terms 'in possession' and 'out of possession'. There are continuous, changing factors, and there are periods of 'chaos' where you need to know how to adapt.

"When you play so much, you have to find the right balance. Play a lot, rest a lot, train a lot. I see no other solution than to let them rest. I totally trust my players, and I don't think about anything other than having super, top players here.

"We're gaining new experiences and more knowledge, which can help us in the future."

Juventus sit fifth in Serie A, 10 points behind leaders Inter, and have lost just one of their last eight league matches (W6 D1).

Parma, meanwhile, are down in 14th, with just one win in their previous six outings (D3 L2) and none at home since December.

Juventus know a win could move them into the top four, depending on other results, or keep them within touching distance of the Champions League places, and Spalletti is relishing the challenge.

"The important thing is that you won't see me looking tired," he said. "We're entering a great period full of matches.

"This is my world. I'm a bit obsessed, but it's hard for me to tire of football. I get tired if my team doesn't move forward or if it flattens out. I get tired if I see that my team doesn't try new things, isn't imaginative.

"I like this period we're heading into, and I hope that my players like it as well."

Parma – Mateo Pellegrino

Mateo Pellegrino has scored the highest percentage of his team's goals in Serie A this season with 43% (six of 14).

Following his goal at the Tardini against Juventus last April, Pellegrino could become the first Parma player to score in consecutive home league matches against the Bianconeri in the three-points-for-a-win era (since 1994-95).

Juventus – Kenan Yildiz

With his goal against Napoli, Kenan Yildiz set a new personal record for goals in a single Serie A season (eight in 21 appearances in 2025-26), surpassing his seven goals in 35 games in the last campaign.

Additionally, he is second only to Lautaro Martinez (129) for touches in the opposition box (120) and second only to Nico Paz (48) for successful take-ons (42) in this Serie A season.

Juventus have lost just two of their last 17 Serie A matches against Parma (W11 D4), scoring 36 goals in the process (2.1 per match on average). They won 2-0 on matchday one of the current campaign.

Parma won their last Serie A home match against Juventus. The only time they have registered consecutive home wins against the Bianconeri in the competition was between May and November 1993, with Nevio Scala as manager.

Juventus have collected five more points this season (42) compared to the same stage last term (37), despite identical goals scored (35) and a similar number of goals conceded (17 vs 19) after their first 22 matches.

Since Spalletti arrived at Juventus on October 30, no team have conceded fewer goals than the Bianconeri in Serie A, with just eight goals conceded in 13 matches – level with Inter.

After their 4-0 defeat against Atalanta, Parma could lose consecutive Serie A matches for only the second time this season, having previously done so between late October and early November against Roma and Bologna.
